Existing regulations     According to The Law on Standardisation and The Regulation on Technical Register, Standardisation Office in the field its activities, intensively works on the preparation of JUS and in cooperation with EU and international organizations creates JUSs identical with ISO, EN and IEC standards

Existing regulations    According to The Law on Standardisation and The Regulation on Technical Register, Ministry of Internal Economic Relations creates technical regulations for: -agricultural, food and other products -industrial products and products of electroenergy and energy, products of mining and products of construction and hemics During creation and adopting of regulations beside JUS, ISO, EN and IES standards, sectors standards are in use for products for which there is not adopted standards. These sectors standards are identical with one of citated standards.

Present activities    Currently, most of the technical regulations designed before 1996 are now in force. With the gradual changes introduced in recent years, most of technical regulatory acts within the agricultural and food industries are ratified in conjunction with the EU regulatory acts. At present procedural legal acts are being adjusted with European Union “New Approach” directives.

Present activities Serbia and Montenegro intends to market goods within the following product categories:   Electrical equipment designed for utilisation within particular voltage boundaries, (i.e. low-voltage device) Civil engineering products      Electro-magnetic compatibility      Equipment for personal protection Devices with inflammable gaseous fuels      Medical equipment

Present activities Equipment and systems for protection utilised in potentially  explosive atmospheres    Packaging and container waste    Equipment under pressure    Machinery    Agricultural and food industry products    Other miscellaneous products Technical legal acts and associated standards are published in the official gazette.

Future activities  Under the supervision of the European Agency for reconstruction and following the public tender, the Danish Technology Institute was given the project titled “Strengthening quality management, capacity and infrastructure in Serbia and Montenegro”. The aim of the project is to provide technical help to the relevant institutions responsible for the creation and implementation of processes and procedures. The scope of the project covers the following areas: technical acts, standards, metrology, accreditation, certification and correlation assessment.
