Khafre

What are considered the two greatest accomplishments of King Khafre? The two greatest accomplishments are he built the second pyramid of Giza and he built the Great Sphinx.

Why was Egypt so prosperous during Khafre’s reign? Egypt was so prosperous because their weren’t any military attacks.

Where did khafre build his pyramid Where did khafre build his pyramid? Why does it appear bigger than Khufu's even though it isn’t? Khafre built his pyramid next to his fathers in Giza. It appears bigger because it was build on higher land.

Describe some of the visual representations that exist of Khafre Some visual representations of khafre are a seated statue of him with falcon wings wrapped around his head this is the most famous one, there is an alabaster head of him, a granite head, a limestone head, and a red granite head with him wearing a crown

Why did he build a smaller pyramid as compared to the other two? He built a smaller pyramid to advance the burial chamber made with fine granite.

Was the pyramid finished by the time Menkaure died Was the pyramid finished by the time Menkaure died? What remains of the pyramid today? The pyramid was not finished by the time Menkaure died. Very little of the pyramid remains.

What allows people to know what Menkaure looked like? There are many statues and heads of him.

Describe the possible reasons for change in angles. If the builders didn’t change the angle it would require way to much work and there might have been a shift of the blocks casing and would result in cracking of the pyramid.
