Collaborative Experience with Health Teachers By: Erik Scherer

CTAP Region IV strives to improve student learning by facilitating collaboration among existing projects and services and promoting the development of regional structures to support the use of educational technology. CTAP funding provides an opportunity for Region IV schools, businesses, universities, and communities to work together in order to benefit our K-12 students. Identity Safety, Cyberbullying, Predators, Piracy and Plagiarism, Inappropriate Content, Social Networking Linda Uhrenholt <lu2829@att.com> Adrienne DeWolfe <adewolfe@acoe.org> Jim Freese <jfreese@acoe.org> AB 307: Chavez Bill The passage of the Chavez Bill (Assembly Bill 307) will impact technology planning this year. This bill charges districts to ³educate pupils and teachers on the appropriate and ethical use of information technology in the classroom, Internet safety, avoiding plagiarism, the concept, purpose, and significance of a copyright so that pupils can distinguish between lawful and unlawful online downloading, and the implications of illegal peer-to-peer network file sharing.² This bill shows up as additional items in the planning criteria found in the grant application

Collaboration To identify the desired results, ask: What knowledge is most important? To determine what students can and will learn, ask: What materials and resources are best suited? To think like an assessor; ask: What assessment tools will measure this learning effectively? To implement the design in a lesson, ask: How can I connect this concept to the next (or future) lesson?
