Lewis Dot Diagram Structures AKA Electron Dot Diagrams

Electron Dot Diagrams Lewis or electron dot diagrams, are diagrams showing only the valence electrons in an atom. The diagram consists of the element symbol with as many as two dots on each of the four sides of the symbol. Electron configuration 1s22s22p63s23p4

From the electron configuration, find the valence electrons and show them as dots in the Lewis dot diagram. Valence electrons- are electrons in the highest occupied energy level.
