Early years He was a wonderful student, skipping grades in elementary school.

Education In 1948 he graduates from college. In 1955 he earns a doctoral degree.

Family In 1953 his marries Coretta Scott. They have four children.

Job He moved to Alabama, where Dr. King became the pastor of a Baptist church in Montgomery.

A goal in life His dream, was to end with racism.

I have a dream Black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

A timeline In 1955 Earns a doctoral degree. In 1956 Dr. King's house is bombed. In 1958 Publishes his first book. In 1963 Gave “I HAVE A DREAM “speech. In 1964 Awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In 1968 Assassinated in Memphis, Tenessee. In 1986 MLK Day declared nationality. holiday.

Death In 1968 he was assassinated in Memphis, TENESSEE.
