Habitat The golden monkey lives in a bamboo forest and broad leaf forest in China. They live 1,400- 3,000 meters above sea level. They also live in the forest of Gishwati

Behavior The golden monkeys live in groups between 30-80 individuals,usually lead by a male. The female defends her territory, while the male leads the group. The food of the golden monkey is mostly bamboo and other foods like plants.

Looks like The golden monkey has a blackish gray shoulder, back,crown, and tail. The golden monkeys face has blue around the eyes and a golden head.

Interesting facts Their habitat is just like the giant pandas. They can live up to 17 years. Humans are their main predators. Status of the golden monkey is mostly endangered.
