A EU Soft Security Initiative Core concept : Maritime Domain Awareness Building a global maritime information sharing network Strengthening regional maritime information sharing capacity Stronger maritime governance for maritime info sharing

CRIMARIO WORK PLAN/ METHODOLOGY Building a global information sharing network (interoperability – IORIS web based network) Strengthening the capacity building ( training programme on maritime data processing and analysis, exercises on piracy or oil spill cases, preparation to Cutlass express, dedicated training agenda) Contributing to a stronger maritime governance (SOP, Common methodologies, EWG)

PROMOTING MARITIME MULTILATERALISM Trying to create a Coherent Maritime Regional Community is not enough. The region needs frameworks and forums to facilitate regional cooperation and sub regional cooperation African Union Integrated Maritime Strategy, AIMS IOC IORA and IONS Djibouti, Kenya, Seychelles, Madagascar
