Existing rocks that are put under HEAT and/or PRESSURE metamorphose (change) Over MILLIONS of years, sedimentary and igneous rocks get heated and put under pressure and change into NEW ROCKS! METAMORPHIC ROCK forms when: Partial melting and recrystallization of minerals in existing rocks!
