Identify, assess and control the risks before initiating the task. Evaluate equipment weight, obstacles in the route, floor/ground conditions and frequency of task. Use mechanical lifting devices whenever possible. Follow manual lifting weight restrictions. Use iron grips and synthetic lifting straps to reduce hand exposure. Follow proper lifting techniques.
