Forsyth County 2016 Bond Referendum Forsyth Technical Community College Capital Projects

Oak Grove Project Complete Main Campus renovation Site demolition – Piedmont, Parkway, Winston, Salem, Carolina Annex Buildings Site development – Grading, irrigation, landscaping, paving curbs, walks, amphitheater Construction – utilities, Tech Drive and parking lot improvements, maintenance storage building Equipment – Campus Police, IT infrastructure

Oak Grove Project $21 million Renovate unfinished space in the Oak Grove Center – 83,000 sq. ft. Program facilities – 3-D printing center, mechanical engineering technology, fine arts, culinary arts and hospitality facilities; Conference Center breakout rooms; classrooms, labs, and offices Academic Support facilities – testing center, tutoring, computerized individualized instruction $21 million

Aviation Center $16.6 million Purchase/renovate or build office and hangar space (100,000 sq. ft.) on or contiguous to Smith Reynolds Airport property Provide program facilities -- classroom, shop, and laboratory space – for technology education and training serving aviation/aerospace manufacturing and service industries (including FAA certified training) $16.6 million

Transportation Center Expansion Construct 30,000 sq. ft. facility at the Transportation Technology Center (Patterson St. and Germanton Rd.) Shop, laboratory, classroom and office space to support growth of automotive technology, motorcycle service, and race car technology $6.4 million

Learning Commons $21 million Construct 70,000 sq. ft. facility on the Main Campus Replace current library Student meeting rooms, study space, technology-rich design, expanded stacks and holdings, and faculty and community learning commons $21 million
