Presentation transcript:

Luke 13:1-9 (ESV) 13 There were some present at that very time who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And he answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way? 3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders

Luke 13:1-9 (ESV) than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? 5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

Romans 3:10-12 (ESV) “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God. 12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Ecclesiastes 7:20 (ESV) 20 Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins.

Romans 3:23(ESV) …there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 6:23(ESV) 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:18-25 (ESV) 18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. 19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

Romans 8:18-25 (ESV) 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But

Romans 8:18-25 (ESV) if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

Luke 13:1-9 (ESV) 6 And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9 Then if it should bear

Luke 13:1-9 (ESV) fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’ ”
