Taking notes in Synergy THE POWER OF COMMUNICATION IS REAL!!

Teacher to Teacher Notes Getting Started: Place mouse in top left corner over student’s picture. A little symbol will pop up. Click on it. Be aware that projecting student identifiers, grades, and disciplinary actions in front of a class is not a good idea due to confidentiality laws.

Click on the Symbol

Click show history to find previous comments from all teachers or enter one here.

Teachers can view other teachers’ comments and common students’ behaviors.

Ways to USE NOTES Keep track of Positive comments Behavioral notes Parent contacts Discipline interventions Referrals sent in the notes section. These notes are be useful for Admin, Health Office, Counselors, etc.

When writing notes and referrals You are a RECORDER….include the FACTS “write it like…” The kid is always a pain and is never working. or…. Student has interrupted class, used inappropriate language, come tardy to class more than 2 times per week (see Synergy notes).

What is the Student CONTACT LOG
