THE RED TAILED HAWK By Kai KREBS

APPEARANCE THE red tailed hawk has whitish brownish feathers to keep warm. It's beak is yellow with black tip for tearing flesh. And it’s talon feet for killing prey. It also has very keen eye sight to spot prey. the wing span is 43 inches to be silent. the red tailed hawk is 51 ounces to be lightning fast.

BEHAVOR They gulp down prey. They are good hunters. They move fussy after hunting. They wait for their prey to come and they strike. They ley five eggs every three months.

HABITAT Red tailed hawks live in the green forests of North America they enjoy the awesome snowy lands of Alaska and Canada. They nest in high trees.

WHAT’S FOR DINNER / WHAT HUNTS ME The red tailed hawk is a carnivore they eat mice, pigeons, squirrels,. And baby rabbits and they eat the most dangerous animal of all rattle snakes. Some of their predators are people.
