Femur 6.Greater Trochanter 3.Lesser Trochanter Large, rough projections that extend laterally from the juncture of the neck and shaft Where large tendons attach to the femur

Femur 4.Linea Aspera prominent elevation on the posterior surface marks attachment of muscles that pull the shaft to the midline (called Adduction) 5.Shaft of Femur

Tibia Shinbone, or large medial bone of the leg. Lateral and medial condyles of the Femur articulare with the lateral and medial condyles of the Tibia The patellar ligament connects the patella to the tibial tuberosity just below the knee joint.

Fibula Parallels the lateral border of the tibia Articulates with the tibia inferior to the lateral condyle of the tibia. Is an important surface for muscle attachment Distal Lateral malleolus provides lateral stability to the ankle.
