Please support your 2012 – 2013 Post Officers. They need your help also. I’ve been your Commander for the last 2 years. It’s been rocky but we managed to get, through donations, the Sign out front replaced and just recently we got new canvas on the front awning, thanks to the Riders donation. We are finally in the black again, making more than we are spending. On the sad note, we had 16 members pass away this year. Your new Commander has asked me to be his Adjutant next year and I have agreed to help him. I’m also the 1st Vice, so, like the other Past Commanders of the Post, I will still be here supporting the American Legion and Post 240. I hope you will too. Thank you for your support of me these last two years. Please support the Lounge, Post, Auxiliary, SAL and Riders. On May 28 lets all please remember all of those brave vets who went before we did so we can enjoy the fruits of this great country. Congratulations to all the officers that were voted in for the upcoming year. Because of various reasons, some mine some not, I opted not to run for anything this year. Let me say this though. It has been fun and enriching to serve what I believe to be the best Commanders we have had in a while. Thanks Hal, Marsha, Jimmy Lee for all the backing and lessons that have allowed to grow into a better person not only for our Legionnaires but our Veterans. Good luck to all in the coming year. For God and Country.....Mouse SAL: Your SAL membership is 100%. Elections for the 2012-2013 SAL Officers were held on Thursday May 8 at 6:30PM. I would like to thank all of those who helped out with the various events we did throughout the year. We started out on a down but ended with a high. We gave the post another donation in the amount of $5000.00. Remember they are the reason why we are here. Congratulations and good luck to the new 2012-2013 officers.
