The aged men (2:2) – Be “sober” (sensible), respectable, “sound in faith” and love. The aged women (2:3) – Should not be slanderers, not given to wine, “teachers of good things” The slaves (2:9-10) – Should “be obedient,” not pilfering, and show they can be fully trusted
Titus 2:11-15 – In grace God sent Jesus to die and redeem us from our sins. Sin is what nailed Jesus to the cross, and if we love Him, we will have no part of it. Titus 3:9 – Avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, arguments, and quarrels about the law, because these are useless.
