Curriculum Math program : Language Arts/Reading: College Prep Math (CPM) Parent Support website Video: “We Can Learn Anything” (Fixed vs. Growth Mindset) Video: “Why is Math Taught Differently Now?” Accelerated Math Language Arts/Reading: Junior Great Books Prentice Hall Literature Text Daily Language Instruction/Spelling Sierra Reading Challenge Formally “40 Book Challenge” More emphasis on developing a love of reading and exposure to a variety of genres. Assessment Report cards are based on demonstrated proficiency of state standards. Letter grades are not included. These changes are detailed in the video that is accessible our classroom website. The gradebook is new to many of us and we are working quickly to become familiar with this new tool.
