PROR / PRTA / PRAD mSCOA Project detail files 22 August 2017 Presented by Elsabé Rossouw: 22 August 2017 1

Problem Statement Municipalities are not functioning in isolation. Every contribution to service delivery and maintenance of infrastructure is part of a bigger provincial and national picture. IDP / BEPP strategic objectives need to feed into the long term vision of provinces and the whole of South Africa.

How is mSCOA making provision to link municipalities to the bigger picture? Through the Project segment Capital projects Operational projects Default Projects To standardise the classification structure of the Project segment IDMS for assets Adding the vertical links through the PRTA / PROR / PRAD data strings

Vertical reporting line MTSF and IUDF IDP / BEPP SDBIP mSCOA Impact Municipal Outcomes Municipal Outputs Municipal activities and processes Municipal Inputs The BEPP aims to sharpen planning led by a defined set of built environment outcomes of more productive, sustainable, inclusive and well governed cities, to ensure that our metropolitan cities’ urban form contributes to reducing poverty and inequality and enables faster more inclusive urban economic growth. Object and event driven with ring fencing of costs in mind

Where does the IDP / BEPP the bigger planning picture? MTSF for municipalities
