The half-windsor knot

How to tie a Half-Windsor knot Place the wide end of the tie in your left hand Make it about a foot longer than the other side. Next, cross the wide end over and on top of the smaller end.

Wrap the wide end around the smaller end Bring it back over keeping it tight Hold the newly formed knot tightly with your right hand. After bringing the wide end up, drop it through the loop and keep it tight, Bring it back to the right side. This will form the left side of the knot so keep it tight as well.

pass the wide end of the tie around the front part of the knot over to the left side. Keep it tight! Next, pass the wide end up through the loop as before, only to shortly bring it down through the front part you just made.

Using both hands, pull down the wide part of the tie as far as you can, keeping it tight but still in order.
