Print Advert This is a seasonal advert. The advert shows a warm colour theme, which invites you in to feel cosy and relaxed. The use of white text against a deep red background makes the font eye catching and bold. Short sentences are used which makes the advert quick and simple to read, the font used is also quite curved making the viewer feel comfortable and not sharp or on edge. The image displays a clear understanding of the topic being promoted due to the recognizable logo. https://www.behance.net/gallery/1010553/Heinz-Soup-Campaign

TV Advert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caIyWMIC1lA Throughout the TV advert a repetitive tune plays in the background giving it more life. At the beginning of the advert the video uses dull colours and horrible weather using pathetic fallacy to enhance the description of her day. Once inside the picture brightens and we see a sense of warmness through the character. Using a close up shot when the character is using the product is effective as it really captures the facial expressions and reactions to the product. Towards the end of the advert an image of the product comes up with their slogan ‘It Has to be Heinz’. This gives the viewer a clear understanding of what item is being advertised and what it looks like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=caIyWMIC1lA

Radio Advert The slogan and brand name is also used at the end of this advert reminding listeners of the product. The narrators voice and projection is clear and warming throughout the advert. The speaker emphasises and drags out certain words, this improves the advert by making it more inviting and exciting The use of positive and negative language contrasting against one another is effective as it enhances the products uses and description better. One place we listen to the radio the most is in cars. When asking others of their opinions on the advert many said “It makes me want to go home and drink something hot”. Therefore I think the company has achieved their goal of making the public want to buy their product. http://offlineHBPL.hbpl.co.uk/news/OMC/assets/audio/Heinz%20Soups,%20‘Caroline’.mp3

Evaluation Overall I think the TV advert is the most effective when promoting this product due to the amount of interesting visual imagery. The background music and types of shots enhances the advert making it more creative and attention grabbing. Although each advert has its differences due to the way they are presented. They all display the Heinz slogan, this is effective as it enables the public to recognise the product from whatever form of advertising.
