THE ANATOMY OF A PARROT Flexible tongues are for food. They have a hooked bill that is very strong. King parrots have bright colors. Parrots have excellent eyesight. Green wings are used for camouflage.

THE HABITAT OF A PARROT Parrots live in tropical forests. Some live in cactus plants. Many live in termite mounds. They can even be in the wetlands of central Brazil. You can find them in Africa or Asia.

THE LIFE CYCLE OF A PARROT Parrots’ eggs are round and white. When they hatch most don’t have feathers. They are born with their ears and eyes closed. Larger parrots take longer to hatch. After a while they learn to fly.

THE INTERESTING FACTS OF A PARROT Parrots eat nectar, seeds, nuts and berries. They can be 99-100 cm! Large flocks are what parrots fly in. Noise is what they like to make. They can weigh up to four pounds.
