Why Honors and AP Classes ? 45% of students who have taken one AP course and 61% of students who have taken two or more AP courses are completing their bachelor’s degrees in four years or less. • Only 29% of students who enroll in colleges without taking AP are completing their bachelor’s degrees on schedule. • 60% of all recent high school graduates entering a community college last year needed to take at least one remedial course.

9th Grade Advanced Placement AP American Government AP Human Geography 1200 Lexile 8th grade CRCT AP courses can help you acquire the skills and habits you'll need to be successful in college. You'll improve your writing skills, sharpen your problem-solving abilities, and develop time management skills, discipline, and study habits. Talk to an AP teacher or the AP Coordinator at your school about the course you want to take. Discuss the course's workload and any preparation you might need.

Honors and AP Classes Challenge Yourself But don’t drown It is O.K. to take Honors in some academic areas and not in others. We encourage all students to take as many honors classes as possible. Students who take honors classes are better prepared for college.

FRESHMEN CLASSES Academically, high school can be a difficult adjustment. Some classes can cause a struggle.
