Figure 2 The increasing trends in syphilis at the STD Medical and Therapy Center of AHMU from January 1999 to September 2012. There was an upward trend in syphilis infections, as observed by the proportion syphilis-positive of the total STD clinic patients. The same increasing trend was observed for male and female cases from 1999 to 2007, but the female cases gradually increased more than the male cases from 2008 to 2012.
