Research It was conducted in two ways A more general research with a pre-test and a post-test (to check the overall impact of SIFA) A smaller scale research before and after each meeting (concerning each one of the 5 major problems/topics related to internet use: addiction, health, safety, security, ethics) Intellectual output and tool for internal evaluation An important product of SIFA was the Research that was conducted in two ways. A more general research with a pre-test and a Post-test and a smaller scale research before and after each meeting. It served as an intellectual output that is beyond plagiarism and upgrades the quality of the results, but it also served as a tool for internal evaluation. The following research questions were dealt with (concerning 5 major problems/topics related to internet use):

Research Questions The following research questions were dealt with (concerning 5 major problems/topics related to internet use addiction, health, safety, security, ethics): 1st: Do students know what every problem (topic) is about? 2nd: Have students experienced such problems? 3nd: Do students know how to handle such situations? An important product of SIFA was the Research that was conducted in two ways.

Example of T-test Results The average overall score of answers students gave about how to deal with “Internet Addiction” problems after SIFA activities (Μ=0,4113, SD=0,1776 ) is much more (differs greatly) (t=-2,322, df=194, 2- tailed p=0,021<0,05) than the average overall score of answers students gave before SIFA activities (Μ=0,3682, SD=0,1431 )

Example of T-test Results

Example of Results after meeting in Austria (about Internet Addiction) After SIFA activities: Students give better answers about how to act when confronted with “Internet Addiction” More will talk to their friends about it More will ask for advice from teachers/parents Students give better answers about how to deal with “Internet Addiction” More will try to figure out the causes More will ask for professional advice
