Titan Expectations: Be Responsible Be Respectful Goal Oriented Prepared (In proper uniform) Always a Role Model On Time

Titan Code of Conduct: All of our athletes are expected to follow GISD/ Tippit Middle School’s Code of Conduct on and off Campus. Conduct that does not reflect the values of the Georgetown Community will be handled with appropriate disciplinary actions.

Penalties for Inappropriate Conduct: Physical conditioning Parent/Player Meeting Player contract Game or games suspension Conference with parent, player and coach Dismissal from team Penalties are up to the discretion of the Coaching Staff

Penalties for Inappropriate Conduct: Athletes are excepted to conduct themselves properly in their classes. Failure to do so will result in a “Titan Reminder”. (Three legged dogs, man makers, towel pushes, etc). Athletes who continue to cause discipline problems in class will face suspension from contest. If a student is in ISS, that student will miss the next scheduled game.

Missing Class, Practice or Games: If you know you are going to sit out due to injury: You must still dress out as much as possible Look, listen, and learn the information your coach is teaching Stay for the entire practice You will be doing some sort of exercise that does not effect the injured area. Please be at every workout. Schedule Dr. appointments accordingly. If you have to miss a workout because of a doctor’s appointment please give a doctor’s note to the coach to be placed on file.

Missing practice due to injury or illness: Athletes will need a doctors note to miss practice. If your student is at school he will be expected to participate in an appropriate activity.

Make up policy: A student-athlete may not participate in the next competition until all missed practices for injury or illness are made up. He must compete a pre-determined make-up workout that includes conditioning as well as sport specific drills. A Tippit player should never miss a practice or a game due to a club team obligation. Coaches are available Monday – Friday for make ups. 7th grade can complete make-up practices after-school 8th grade can complete make-up practices before school.

Travel Procedures: Students will ride the bus from school to the game Out of town games: Students will ride the bus from school to the game Students may be signed out with their coach, but only with their parent. In Town: (Benold , Forbes, Waggoner or East View) The athletes will be taken to the other campus by bus, but will need to be picked by their parent.

Behavior Expectations of Spectators: Remember that you are at the contest to support and yell for your team and to enjoy. A ticket is a privilege to observe the contest, not a license to verbally assault others or be generally obnoxious. Respect the integrity and judgment of game officials. Understand that they are doing their best to help promote the student-athlete, and admire their willingness to participate in full view of the public.

Behavior Expectations of Spectators: Be a positive role model at events through your own actions and by censuring those around you whose behavior is unbecoming Parents and spectators should be aware that the school can (and should) remove them from the premises and can prohibit them from attending future contests due to undesirable behaviors. There is no such thing as a “right” to attend interscholastic athletics. Interscholastic athletics are considered a “privilege” and the spectator who avails themselves of it is expected to conduct himself or herself accordingly.

Conflicts: Conflicts with Procedures or Personnel   Any conflict should be addressed in accordance to the following protocol: (1)Meet with the specific coach directly at a mutually appointed time with the student-athlete present. (not after a game or practice) (2)Meet with the Campus Athletic Coordinator at a mutually appointed time. (3)Meet with a District Athletic Coordinator at a mutually appointed time.
