Buzzards Spring 1 2017 Literacy To explore non-fiction texts To look at the differences between fiction and non-fiction texts To explore what we would use to write non-fiction texts To write our own non-fiction texts Numeracy To use a range of number rhymes to help with counting skills To create tally charts To create graphs To explore simple equations using objects Design Technology To explore design in nature To collage with natural material To design and create sculptures using natural materials To use photography to show designs in nature To study Andy Goldsworthy Food Technology To explore colour, patterns and textures through cooking and baking. Creative Curriculum To study the Tudors To design and build Tudor houses To look at different clothing from Tudor times To explore Tudor kings and queens To identify the Tudor rose Science To explore the textures and features of rocks To look at different volcanos To explore features of a volcano and how they erupt To look at what happens during an earthquake

Please make sure you take lots of photographs. Buzzards Activity Ideas For each subject there are many ways to promote education and develop understanding in the home. These are ideas that you may wish to use in order to support the curriculum. They are just initial ideas; you may wish to do your own activity! Please make sure you take lots of photographs.
