I am LOVING this class so much already, and this week has been fun continuing to get to know one another as we dive into the curriculum!  We have started learning cursive which is very exciting, and have peeked into each of our different subjects. We have also had great fun with the Bible curriculum that Mr. G wrote. We’re getting to know God and find out who He really is through exploring the Word!  Once again, sincere thanks to all of you who are continuously sending goodies in; I appreciate it more than you know!! Triathlon Training starts tomorrow, so make sure your kiddo is wearing tennis shoes so that they’re prepared. They’ll be doing GoNoodle (fun cardio) with Mrs. Schne and I so it’ll be a BLAST! Each Thursday you will receive a packet of information as well as homework in your child’s weekly folder. Triathlon Training starts tomorrow. Make sure to fill out the consent form and return to school so your child can join in the fun! Bake Sale is tomorrow. Bake Sale is a fundraising effort by our middle school students and the proceeds help fund their spring trip. Most items are $.50-$1.00 and range anywhere from sweet treats to healthier options like popcorn, carrots and fruit. What’s the Buzz In Second Grade? Homework: Reminders: August 25, 2016 -Please send your child’s folder to school every day with the behavior chart signed. They usually won’t need them on Fridays so if it’s forgotten, no worries! Homework checklist should be signed as well and turned in the following week. Items to put in folder: notes for Mrs. B, permission slips, money due, library books that need to be returned to the library or Mrs. B’s library, and of course homework. -If your child has a book out from Mrs. B, they can have them out for two weeks. After two weeks, Mrs. B will come buzzin’ for them!  Our Room Mom is Jenny Freemyer! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Jenny, for all you do and will do this year. You are a blessing to our little beehive! Don’t forget to have your child review Phonics Charts and read for 15 minutes every day!
