What existing ministries touch the “Under-Reached-EDGE?” The Edge Under-reached-examples The Coming and Here Now Generation Church Exiles Anti-Institutionalists What existing ministries touch the “Under-Reached-EDGE?”

An Example Lockerbie Central UMC a historic community doing church in a new way. We are re-imagining what is means to be church.  Our home is in a beautiful historic building built by the church in the late 1800s that we want lots of people to enjoy.  To make this possible, we created Earth House Collective in partnership with the community as a way to extend radical hospitality in downtown Indianapolis.  Over the past three years Earth House has grown into one of the best places in Indy to experience art, music, culture, healthy food, a great cup of fair trade coffee, and a community in action.   All this is happening in a place of worship and spiritual growth.

An Example Chicago Temple-First United Methodist, Chicago, “A Sanctuary in the Heart of Chicago’s loop…” Child Care Christian Education – Adults & Children, Fine Arts, Art Gallery and Silk Road Theater Homeless Ministries, Interfaith Ministries, Tutoring Center

An Example UNION is a new church start / coffeehouse that will primarily be in ministry with twenty-something and college students in Dallas. It is supported by the North Texas Conference and sister churches who desire to help this community of faith reach out to the edge of twenty-something young adults.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT FIESTAS An Example Christ’s Foundry-The church began in with Bible studies during the week nights and worship on Sunday evenings. As the excitement of Christ's Foundry entered the community, the church grew and moved to an apartment community close by where Christ's Foundry is currently located. WEDNESDAY NIGHT FIESTAS SOCCER MINISTRY AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM GRUPOS DE VIDA

An Example New Day Communities are satellite congregations anchored in United Methodist churches. The lead teams are bi-vocational and do not receive any compensation for their pastoral service to New Day, which helps maximize missional outreach and minimize our internal costs. We are a pioneering ministry affirmed by the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Alaska Missionary Conference and a number of local congregations and agencies. After-school tutoring for Elementary and Youth Summer Programming for Elementary and Youth Senior Citizen Program The Amos Project Care for Kids Program Parenting Classes

The Mother Ship-the Anchor- between Existing ministries and the Edge She launches existing ministries, so they may serve Christ in the world. She supports existing ministries to be in relationship with the underserved and under-reached, “THE EDGE.” She is steered by the Pastor/Leader
