Hi, I’m Betty Kilsdonk Human Services (HS) Deputy Director For 2018 HS has two fund rounds and two teaching opportunities related to the arts

Human Relations Fund The Human Relations Commission (HRC) distributes about $31,000 each year to support community events and initiatives that celebrate and appreciate diverse communities and advance mutual respect and understanding

Human Relations Fund Grants are limited to: Nonprofits and community groups Activities held within Boulder city limits Events that are free and open to the public Maximum award $3000 Quarterly awards with deadlines January/April/July/October Note: All 2017 funding has been distributed Watch for 2018 fund round deadlines on the city website later this year: https://bouldercolorado.gov

Youth Opportunities Fund About $176,000 in annual funding for cultural, educational and recreational opportunities, primarily for under-represented and low-income middle and high school-aged youth

Youth Opportunities Fund Annual Grants Programs target young people and incorporate their input Awards from $3,000 - $15,000 Grants help provide cultural, educational or recreational activities in Colorado Note: 2017-18 round is closed Applications for 2018-2019 open Jan. 2018 

Youth Opportunities Fund Group Activities Fund Groups of at least ten Boulder residents can apply for up to $3,000 to help pay for a cultural, educational, or recreational activity in Colorado Application deadline is the 15th of each month from August through May
