About the Chicago rose of tralee The Chicago Rose of Tralee is a part of the Rose of Tralee International Festival, held annually in County Kerry, Ireland. The festival began in 1959, taking its inspiration from a 19th century love song, The Rose of Tralee, by William Mulchinock. It has since grown to become one of Ireland’s biggest and most beloved festivals, and is celebrated in Irish communities around the globe.
