Social Studies Teacher WSMS Amite, LA 70422 Dear Ms. Jones, You should see this place! It is even more exciting than in the books you have shown us. The farming here is much different than what I see in Louisiana. There are no tractors or heavy equipment for farming in the colony. The people here are dressed really weird and the women make the clothes instead of going to a mall. It is very interesting to visit, but I do not want to live here. It is very hard work, just to do simple tasks. There is no electricity, telephones, or internet. I am glad that I got to visit this wonderful part of history, but I miss the comforts of home.
