The Kingdom of God There should be one big question after reading those passages and that is: Did Jesus mean heaven when he said “kingdom of God”? What evidence have you found that supports this idea? Is there any evidence that you have found that goes against this idea? Can you think of a better theory?
The Kingdom of God Some people argue that when Jesus spoke of the kingdom of God he meant the “rule of God in peoples lives” this means that you enter the kingdom of heaven when you become a Christian. This would mean that the kingdom is not a physical place but you are in the kingdom when you follow God in your life Is there any evidence that supports this idea? Is there any evidence that goes against this idea? Is heaven on earth or is it heaven?
The Kingdom of God Many Christians solve this problem by saying that when we become Christians we enter the kingdom of heaven because we have just asked God to be our king. This means that we are now under his authority so he can guide us through our lives. If we enter the kingdom whilst we are alive then we can physically enter the kingdom of God (heaven) after death. So to be in the kingdom of God means being a Christian (and part of the church) as well as heaven after death.
