Academy Completers In SC a completer is a student who has completed a 4-credit course of study in a particular Major. Ex. – Health Science I, Health Science II, Gerontology (worth 1 credit) (worth 1 credit) (worth 2 credits) Ex. – Intro. Eng., Prin. Eng., CIM, CSE (each worth 1 credit) Ex. – Band 1, Band 2, Band 3, Band 4 (each worth 1 credits)

Academy Completers Due to the need to earn 4 credits to complete a major, students will have one chance to change majors at the end of the tenth grade year.

Freshman Academy Students are housed with common English, math, science, and social studies teachers in one area of the building. Students interact with the school population at large for their four global (elective) classes. Academy teams serve as a transition from middle school to the relative freedom of high school. Students select their 1st and 2nd choice of Academy in the 9th grade IGP conference.
