Its Differences To Other Genres (Rap And R&B) R&B is Rhythm and blues and started in the 1940s. And its a mixture of jazz, gospel, and blues influences, It was once apparently called race music. Whereas rap is "Rhythmically Applied Poetry". and it started in the late 70s.Rap is a combination of funk and R“n”B as well as poetry. It has complex rhythms, cadences, an intricate poetic form, and inventive wordplay. Modern hip hop production uses samplers, sequencers, drum machines, synthesizers. Though the term encompasses all aspects of hip hop music, it's most commonly used to refer to the instrumental, non-lyrical aspects of hip hop. This means that hip hop producers are the instrumentalists involved in a work. A hip hop instrumental is commonly referred to as a beat, and hip hop producers are commonly referred to as beat makers.

History Hip Pop originally began in the 1970s in New York City and Bronx, with some African American and Jamaican American and a little Latino influences, the hip Pop genre developed around Hip Pop Culture, defined by elements like Rapping, sampling, scratching, boxing and DJing, the term Rap is usually associated with Hip Pop. The roots of hip hop are originate from African-American music and conclusively African music. The Griots were/are a group of traveling singers and poets from West Africa, they are part of an oral tradition which date back hundreds of years, their vocal style is similar to that of rappers It is believed that Keith Cowboy came across the term while teasing a friend who had joined the U.S. Army, and by singing/saying the words "hip/hop/hip/hop" in a way that replicated the rhythmic march of marching soldiers. Hip hop actually arose during the 1970s when block parties became increasingly popular in New York City, especially in the Bronx. Block parties incorporated DJs who played popular genres of music, especially funk and soul music. DJs, realizing its positive reception, began isolating the percussion breaks of popular songs

The new jack swing style developed as usual like hip pop, by combining elements of older styles with newer trends. It uses mellifluously soulful solo vocals sung over rhythms and "street" beats derived from urban musical influences Gangsta Rap Gangsta is a subgenre of hip hop that reflects the violent lifestyles of some inner-city youths. Gangsta is a non-rhotic pronunciation of the word gangster. The genre was promoted in the mid 1980s by rappers such as Schooly D and Ice T, and was popularized in the later part of the 1980s by groups like N.W.A. After the national attention that Ice-T and N.W.A created in the late 1980s and early 1990s, gangst rap became the most commercially lucrative subgenre of hip hop.
