Product Description NS-160 (Sodium Benzoate) Nutri-Shield Process Technology Nutri-Shield’s proprietary deodorization process eliminates the off-flavors and odors often associated with commercially available sodium benzoate. Nutri-Shield technology, when applied to food preservatives, offers a new generation of products available for formulators to utilize when designing preservation systems for novel as well as contemporary foods. Product Benefits Nutri-Shield NS-160 (sodium benzoate) is a deodorized preservative system effective against yeast and bacteria up to a pH of 4.5. The Nutri-Shield system will NOT add color, odor, or chemical flavors typically associated with other commercial sodium benzoate while still maintaining an extended shelf life. Product Features Color: White (free from other discoloration) Form: Granular and powder GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) Kosher Certified Bio-Terrorism Registration # 11980927702 Typical Applications Nutri-Shield NS-160 (sodium benzoate) provides the optimum protection in a variety of food systems including: Bakery Goods Fruit Drinks Desserts Packaging & Storage Nutri-Shield NS-160 (sodium benzoate) is heat-sealed in a multi-wall plastic bag consisting of three layers. Contents per bag: 50 pounds/ 22.7 kg net weight. 800 bags per 40 ft trailer, 40 bags per pallet. Store in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Keep bags sealed tightly after opening. Typical shelf life is twelve months. Labeling Recommended labeling: sodium benzoate (CFR 182.3640) Nutrition labeling is not required for this system. We believe this information to be accurate and reliable; however, no warranty, either expressed or implied, is made and no freedom from liability, from patents, trademarks or other limitation should be inferred.
