Travel Choices accreditation Will Blair, Strategic travel management officer

Background Travel Choices Business Travel Network - Transport for Greater Manchester’s free network offing: Initiatives, incentives and practical support to encourage sustainable commuting and business travel. A new accreditation scheme launched to celebrate the success of businesses which have championed sustainable travel: Bronze Accreditation Award: Developing a travel action plan Silver Accreditation Award: Delivering the travel plan measures Gold Accreditation Award: Demonstrating travel behaviour change The Christie NHS Foundation Trust was invited to summit an application.

Travel Choices accreditation criteria

Travel Choices accreditation: Gold Standard The Trust was awarded gold standard based upon the length of time the Trust has been taking action and how comprehensive the travel plan continues to be. The gold standard award was an acknowledgment that the Trust was demonstrating: Energy and commitment in helping reduce congestion Improve the air quality for everyone in Greater Manchester. Enhancing the health and wellbeing of staff. Sharing best practice and success stories with wider business community Actively participating in sustainable travel workshops and steering groups A regional leader in reducing their impact on the environment.
