Presentation transcript:

La biodiversidad del mundo hispano GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS You will be working in groups of 2 or 3 people (NO, you may NOT have a group of 4) Each group will be randomly assigned a Spanish-speaking country to research You will research the biodiversity of your assigned country, focusing on animals primarily, but also including some native plants and/or trees Create a power point slide with the information on it (not too many words please!) You should only put key words or phrases on the slide, otherwise use pictures when possible. Absolutely NO full sentences on the slide! When your slide is complete, one member of the group must give the teacher their email address. She will give you permission to work on the class Google Doc, and you will add your slide to the class presentation. BE SURE YOUR SLIDE IS TITLED WITH THE NAME OF YOUR COUNTRY and make sure your names are on it somewhere

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS: Required information: Variety of animals Variety of plants General descriptions of land forms or types of land Factors affecting the biodiversity How the biodiversity of that country compares to the US Not everything needs to be on the slide (like comparing to US, for example), but if you can, without words, that is OK Presentations: We will present on Tuesday 3/21. As your slide appears, your group will stand and share the information with us. Everyone in the group must participate in the presentation Absolutely NO reading. Practice at home so you know what you are talking about. DON’T memorize, either. Just know the vocab you need to know and talk off the top of your head. That will get you a higher grade than memorizing. The presentation will be a daily grade!

Grading: These are the categories you will be graded on: Group grade: Accuracy of information Thoroughness of information Effort/appearance of power point slide (includes following instructions) Individual grade: Fluency/preparation Pronunciation *****This is just one grade, but part of it is individual, and part is group. I add the two parts together to get the final grade.
