What Type of Counts Do We Do? Axle Counts & Classification Counts 99% + of our counts are classification counts 3,800 + locations on a 3 year cycle 48 hours in duration Within the Monday – Thursday timeframe Turning Movement Counts 12 hours in duration
What Type of Counters Do We Use? Classification Counters Manufactured by TimeMark Inc. We have 200 + counters.
What Type of Counters Do We Use? Turning Movement Counters Manufactured by Jamar Technologies Inc. We have 7 counters.
How Do We Operate? 4, 2-Person Teams Hours of Operation Monday – Thursday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM All traffic count personnel attend an annual certification course put on by INDOT. Over half of our traffic count personnel have worked at MACOG for 5 + years.
What About Safety? All traffic count vehicles are equipped with a light bar and “Caution” emblem.
