Sept: “A Moment In Time!” “There Was A Point In Time When The God of the Universe Entered Our Space/Time Continuum As A Man to Pay the Price for Our Rebellion and Rescue Us From Sin!”
A Point In Time! The Birth of Jesus Happened Perfectly (Perfect Plan; Perfect Place) The Life of Jesus Was God Showing Love to a World Needing Redemption The Ministry of Jesus Was Continual Tension Between God’s Plan and People’s Rebellion Against That Plan
“A Point In Time!” The Death of Jesus Was The Ultimate Rejection by Mankind for Jesus To Be Their Solution The Resurrection of Jesus Was God’s Ultimate Plan To Show His Power and Give Mankind a Choice of Acceptance or Continual Rejection
Salvation from Our Savior The Four Gospels Were Written for Mankind To See Jesus As Messiah Matthew Showed Him as King For All People Mark Showed Him as the King of Scripture Luke Showed Him as King of Heaven John Showed Him As God Our King
Seeing and Receiving Jesus Mark 7:31-37 “Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre, and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. There some people brought to Him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Him to place His hand on the man.
Seeing and Receiving Jesus Mark 7:31-37 “After He took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put His fingers into the man’s ears. Then He spit and touched the man’s tongue. He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means, “Be opened!”
Seeing and Receiving Jesus Mark 7:31-37 “At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly. Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more He did so, the more they kept taking about it. People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”
What Is Mark Saying? God Had To Be Working Through Jesus For Him To Be Able To Heal Only The Messiah Could Heal The Blind, The Deaf, The Mute, and The Lame Jesus Did Everything “Good” Jesus Is The Messiah
This Is A Direct Comparison to… Isaiah 35:3-8 “Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”
Isaiah 35:3-8 “Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer, and the mute tongue shout for joy. Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. The burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
Isaiah 35:3-8 “In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.”
What Is Isaiah Saying? Believers Need To Stay Strong Because There Is Hope Jesus’ Birth, Life, Ministry, Death, and Resurrection Is Not The End of Christ’s Reign When Jesus Returns, There Will Be Abundance and Holiness Every Knee Will Bow Because Jesus Is God
