The Leaning Tower of Pisa By Orla Flanagan & Aoife Mc Govern & Philip Mc Goldrick

Towers The Leaning Tower of Pisa in the town of Pisa is in Italy. It is called the Leaning Tower of Pisa because it has a slight tilt. The ground that it was built on was marsh but not anymore. Lots of tourists come to see this because of its famous tilt. It is one of many famous towers in the world- including the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

What we have learned! It is a place where tourists come to visit. It was built in 1174 and has been around for 838 years now. It has a bell at the top of the tower. The height from the low side is 55.86m. The height from the high side is 56.70m.

 The tower was built on marsh ground so it started to lean. When they tried to stop it from leaning it leaned the other way.
