CPR as a Graduation Requirement AHA Core Policy Objectives and Guidance for CPR in Schools These policies can be worked on at the local or state level. Training must include psychomotor skills (hands-on practice). The training must adhere to national Emergency Cardiac Care guidelines. The training can be as a “stand alone” offering or as a part of required curriculum. The training can be given between 7-12 grade. Training should include awareness around the purpose of AEDs.
