Environment and energy  Waste water treatment and reuse (including agricultural water use)  Integrated management of regional water resources on both rural and poor urban settings  Treatment of industrial and municipal wastes and re-use of recycled materials  Renewable energy and hybrid technologies for power generation, heating and cooling  Integrated energy systems in remote pilot rural regions for energy saving using the existing local energy resources
