Summary of Findings What do you like about Slamannan? The place is seen as quite and peaceful by a number of people. The people were seen as friendly Investment /improvement in council house stock has helped Good amenities (Health Service, Community Centre, Library) The countryside and environment
Summary of Findings What don’t you like about Slamannan? Tensions between new people coming in and local people not being able to be housed Isolation, problems in accessing services (bus service not great) Lack of facilities, shopping (post office an issue) No gas General appearance (hotel, litter, Illegal dumping, church yard, dogs dirt) Play Park issues – road crossing dangerous, people, drinking need for another under 5 amenity
Summary of Findings What would make Slamannan better to live in, work in or visit? A better bus service (frequency and routes) More activities for children and youths (designated outdoor and indoor spaces) Better employment opportunities Improvements to the environment Better shopping Improve road surfaces Events to boost community spirit
Priority issues – Small things Promote activity, events, facebook page More treats for old folk Gala day/ summer festival Accessing small grants for activities for pre school children, young people Environmental improvements education and enforcement

Slamannan has a future! What would you wish Slamannan to be like in 10 years time? Thriving area with houses and appropriate facilities A special attraction like the kelpies on a smaller scale A golf course, fisheries type centre. Safe, clean, more respect People not thinking it is a rough area The way it used to be A respected village where people would buy a house Get people involved in after school activities
