DESIGN AN OUTFIT FOR A CELEBRATORY PARTY YEAR 7 HOMEWORK DESIGN AN OUTFIT FOR A CELEBRATORY PARTY

The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. RESEARCH- you need to choose a painting to research to give you ideas for colour and decoration. The Kiss by Gustav Klimt. I like this Artist because he uses so many techniques and patterns. I wanted to choose a painting with lots of rich, colourful patterns to give me plenty of ideas. I love the bright colour of gold because of the way it reflects the light.

RESEARCH- You need to copy sections of the painting to study the colour and detail used.

You need to find some examples of fashion designers, because this research will give you ideas for your own designs.

EXPERIMENT & DEVELOP- You need to produce 4 design ideas, here are a few examples on the following pages.

Try to explore different media such as: pen, pencil, paint and collage.

CREATE & MAKE- Choose your favourite idea to develop as a final design.

You can can make a small version of your outfit, but this is optional.

EVALUATE- At the end of the project you need to write an evaluation and you can use the questions on the project brief to do this.
