Researchers The Researcher development framework (RDF) is a comprehensive approach to enhancing the careers of researchers. It has been developed from first principles through interviews with successful researchers in a range of disciplines. It aims to: *provide a framework of the skills, attributes and behaviours of successful researchers *provide a tool for self-assessment of strengths and areas for further development *provide a common framework across institutions in the UK. 4 domans 12 subdomains 63 descriptors Up to 5 phases of development for each descriptor. Need to consider all of these areas – BUT they may not all be relevant to you or at a specific point in time. Careers like people, move on.
