THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICPATED!!! Each year, on the third Saturday in September, volunteers from around the world join together to clean beaches, rivers and other waterways. This year, a record 2,131 volunteers cleaned 7,448 pounds of trash in Volusia County. Volunteers worked together to document every piece of trash they found using standardized trash tally data cards. This information is used by the Ocean Conservancy to produce the world’s only state-by-state, country-by-country Marine Debris Index. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO PARTICPATED!!!

Cassen Park 22 volunteers at Cassen Park, located at the Granada boat ramp in Ormond Beach, cleaned up 290 pounds of trash .

Andy Romano Park 141 volunteers at Andy Romano Park cleaned up 431 pounds of trash from the beach in addition to rescuing three washback sea turtles

Callalisa Creek 11 volunteers cleaned up 450 pounds of trash around Callalisa Creek in New Smyrna Beach

Frank Rendon Park 136 volunteers cleaned up 86 pounds of trash at Frank Rendon Park

Port Orange Causeway Park 76 volunteers cleaned up 850 pounds of trash at Port Orange Causeway Park

Winter Haven Park 98 volunteers cleaned up 455 pounds of trash at Winter Haven Park

Smyrna Yacht Club Smyrna Yacht Club members came together to clean up 83 pounds of trash
