What is the SAT-10? The SAT-10 is a not timed It is a standardized, norm-referenced achievement test used to compare students’ performances with the performance of students in the nation. Students are tested in Reading Comprehension and Mathematics Problem Solving. All students take the test in grades K-2. Test dates are: March 27th to March 28th

How are students tested? Students take the untimed SAT test over the course of two days. They take the test with their homeroom teacher. Teachers read the directions and the students read the passage and questions and answers on their own. The teacher is only allowed to read from the test script twice before moving on for the math portion only. Each test is done in sections with a red STOP sign at the bottom of the page, indicating that it is the end. Each section begins with a sample question.

Reducing Test Anxiety Tips Discuss the test openly and in a positive way. Have realistic expectations of your child’s performance while encouraging his/her best efforts. Emphasize that the test is only one measure of academic performance. Emphasize that test scores do not determine a person’s worth.
