BASIC ELECTRONICS & ROBOTICS Instructor: Humayun Rashid Raahat Chapter-1: Introduction
ROBOTICS? ROBOTICS & ROBOT Many of you may have a question in your mind when you have started this course. The question is – What is ROBOTICS?
ROBOTICS CAN BE SIMPLY DEFINED AS- A brief and details study on Robot which demonstrate each and every steps of Robot from beginning of building a robot to the end.
How can we get started with Robotics? What exactly we need to study on Robots to learn Robotics?
A robot is a combination of all sector of engineering It consists of Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Programming
How robotics can be defined properly? Robotics is the branch of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and computer science that deals with the design, construction, operation and application of Robot.
How Robotics is related with all sector of engineering Programming and Artificial Intelligence A Final Robot Circuit Design and Power Supply Design Building chassis and body construction Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science Combination of all sector of engineering
How can we define robotics in easy words? Robotics is the details study on Robot that demonstrate- What is Robot How Robot works Working principles and operations of Robots Advantages and disadvantages of Robot Control system of Robot Fabrication of a Robot
What is Robot A Robot is system which is build or developed to obtain a specific or several purposes.
You may know that already! But is that all? No! There should be some particular features or characteristics to call a system Robot.
How else we can define Robot? A system can be defined as Robot if it contains following characteristics. Sensors Control Systems Movement Systems Power Supplies Decision making ability/ Artificial intelligence
Is it necessary for a robot having all these characteristics? No! Absolutely Not! It is not necessary to have all the characteristic in a robot. But a robot should contain at least some of the characteristics of above.
