PASIFIKA

WHAT IS PASIFIKA? Pasifika consists of three regions: Polynesia - the Hawaiian Islands, New Zealand and Easter Island. The rest of Polynesia includes the Samoan islands (American Samoa and Samoa), the Cook Islands, French Polynesia (Tahiti and The Society Islands, Marquesas Islands, Austral Islands, and the Tuamotu Archipelago), Niue Island, Tokelau and Tuvalu, Tonga, Wallis and Futuna, and Pitcairn Island. Melanesia - the islands of New Guinea, the Admiralty Islands, Bougainville Island, Maluku Islands, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, the Santa Cruz Islands (part of the Solomon Islands), New Caledonia and Loyalty Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, and Norfolk Island Micronesia - Kiribati, Nauru, the Marianas (Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands), the Republic of the Marshall Islands and Palau. Ensure that each person has a different topic to focus on for their research:- Location Food Religion & beliefs Social structure Legends Clothing Songs & dances Festivals Culture Traditions/Customs Once you have done your research, work together to present your information in any format you like. Note: Whichever format you decide to use must include images and text and it must give insightful information about your chosen country.
