Place Value Street Story

Place Value Street There is a story that is told of a few families that moved onto a street that will help you remember about the different periods in a place value chart, where commas are found, and how to read large numbers.

There once was a family that moved onto a street called: Place Value Street

The family had three children. Their names were One, Ten, and Hundred Place Value Street H T O

The family loved living on Place Value Street.

The children played outside all of the time. Place Value Street H T O

One day, a new family moved onto Place Value Street. H T O

They had three children also, their names were: One, Ten, and Hundred. Place Value Street H T O H T O

The children loved playing together. Place Value Street H T O H T O

One day when the children were all playing outside, the mom of the first family wanted her children to come in for dinner. Place Value Street H T O H T O

She called out, “One, Ten, Hundred, it is time to come in for dinner.” Place Value Street H T O H T O

The children did not know which set of children needed to come in because their names were the same. Place Value Street H T O H T O
